Muse guest designer

Hello! I am very excited today to be the guest designer for the Muse Challenge for challenge #205! Thanks to Ardyth and the ladies at Muse for this honour!

I tried a technique that I've never tried before - using watercolour paper, I traced inside a stencil ("Leafy" from Ranger/Dina Wakely) with a Quickie Glue Pen, and then white embossed the lines. I then used one of my favourite and most used techniques - I added colour with Zig clean color real brush markers, and then sprayed it with heaps of water, heat set it, and repeated until I was happy with the depth of colour. I added a sentiment from Concord and 9th "Hello lovely", stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black and Soft Pool inks, and then mounted this panel onto a Hero Arts Pool notecard. I finished with some Wink of Stella, and a few Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins.

Watercolour thank you

After a very busy week at work, and an even busier couple of days coming up, I needed some crafty time today to keep me sane!  I went in search of a challenge, and visited CASual Fridays challenge. I was in the mood for some Zigs, so I pulled out some watercolour paper and made a one-layer card.
I used the Wall Flower stamp set from CASual Fridays Stamps, along with a new favourite of mine, the Mini Thank You from Studio Katia.  For the larger flowers, I stamped in Versamark ink and then white heat embossed, before adding some Zig clean color real brush marker in red, orange and pink, and misted with water. I then used the smaller flower image, and painted the stamp with the same colours of Zigs, but then misted the stamp with water before stamping.  Both of these techniques end up with unpredictable results - you have to embrace the uncertainty!

CAS Watercolour Reminder

Hello! I'm back as a guest at the CAS Watercolour challenge today, with another card.  The theme for this month is "Love"

This is what I created:
I started by colouring some watercolour paper with Distress Inks and water, aiming for a blotchy look. I diecut a piece of the watercoloured paper with a stitched heart from Lawn Fawn, then die cut "hugs" from Avery Elle out of the middle. I used the inlay die cut method to add the word "hugs" cut from some American Crafts black glitter cardstock into the middle of the heart (being careful not to lose the little bits from the loops of the letters.)
I took a white card base and stamped the Hero Arts flourish background onto the left side of the card in Hero Arts soft pink shadow ink, and coloured in a few of the loopy bits with a pale pinnk Derwent pencil. I added some fun foam behind the heart and added it to the card base, and added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle.  I decided that the heart needed something to ground it, so I added a strip of coral coloured cardstock from my stash to the left side, and I was done!
