Paper piecing gone crazy!

This week, A Blog Named Hero has a challenge to use paper piecing.  Whenever I've done paper piecing (which is not often, actually), it is the focal image that is paper pieced, not the background. I decided to try to use a background stamp as the basis of the paper piecing, but keep the overall design very simple (because the background is busy enough as it is!!)  Here's what I came up with:


I used Hero Arts Looped Flower Pattern background stamp, a bunch of different papers from Basic Grey Hopscotch 6X6 paper pad, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments.

I thought I'd also submit this card to Moxie Fab's "Make your own patterned paper" challenge.

    What a great job! I love paper piecing and you're right we hardly ever think about paper piecing a background.
